Literacy

Making a difference in people’s lives . . .

Comments from learners:

  • “I am so happy that I took the GED Prep and accounting classes, I am now working as a bookkeeper for a local business.  Quite an accomplishment for someone who only had a grade 4 education two years ago!”
  • “I just needed some help understanding the Driver’s Handbook.  I participated in the Learner’s License Study Group, passed my Class 7 and now I have my Class 5 license.”
  • “I am almost 90 years old and I can use the email to keep in contact with my relatives overseas.”
  • “I can speak and read English better now so I know what my children are talking about.”

Do you or someone you know need help with:  reading, writing, numeracy, or technology?  If so, we might be able to help.  We have 1:1 volunteer tutors or you could join a group session. This is a FREE, confidential service with trained instructors.
